Local residents and tea farmers warmly welcome visitors at this tourism exchange facility renovated from a tea factory.

“Soen-Koyuan Yantan was established in Yantan, an area related to Nagatani Soen who developped the way of making green tea called the “”Ujicha method””. Enjoy delicious tea and sweets while listening to the stories of local residents and tea farmers. The facility also offers handmade lunches by “”Aban”” (friendly expression of middle-age women) and various experience programs, and also sells single origin tea leaves that are produced by local farmers and only available here. Also you can go on guided tours of the Yantan District and the birthplace of Nagatani Soen. ※ Reservations for these programs are necessary.”
